Google made pagespeed a ranking factor. To enthuse and inform website owners, Google is tracking real user experience of opted-in users.
- Lighthouse metrics, such as the Core Web Vitals metrics are saved to Google's CrUX reporting database;
- Only UX data of popular sites will become part of CrUX, around 6 million at the time of writing;
- Data is already embedded in ranking algorithms (per 2021), PageSpeed Insights and Google Search Console;
- Manually requesting data using Big Query will cost money when using more than 1 TB in a month.
